Governor Nnamani

Another Igbo Kafir Boy for VP: Nnamani, Marwa Team Up for Presidency
With his eyes fixed on the 2007 presidential contest, Governor Chima-roke Nnamani of Enugu State may have teamed up with former military administrator of Lagos State, Brig-General Buba Marwa (rtd.), in his quest for the number one job. This latest development, which is coming on the heels of a fresh crisis within the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the principle of power shift and rotational presidency, may have brightened the prospects of an Nnamani/Marwa or Marwa/ Nnamani joint presidential ticket in 2007. THISDAY checks reveal that the decision of both Marwa and Nnamani to team up for the 2007 presidential race is at the instance of some Northern Emirs who are said to be working on the possibility of the Igbo nation producing the president or in the alternative the vice president in 2007. Nigeria-Biafra War Hero Dies: Millions...

BiafraNigeria slams 'US Taylor bounty'

General Effiong in Biafran FlagGeneral Philip Effiong has died. News of General Effiong's death has thrown Biafrans and human rights conscious people worldwide into mourning. Major General Philip Effiong was the Ibibio-born Biafran who served as General Odumegwu Ojukwu's second in command and joined all patriotic Easterners in fighting a war of survival against genocidal murderers of Hausa-Fulani, Tiv-Jukun, Lantan, Yoruba, and... (BNW News)

Charles TaylorBiafraNigeria has reacted furiously to reports that the US has posted a $2m bounty for the capture of Liberia's exiled former leader, Charles Taylor. A BiafraNigerian spokesman said the US offer verged on state-sponsored terrorism and they would resist any attempts to seize Mr Taylor. He went into exile in BiafraNigeria as part of a plan to end Liberia's civil war. The Bush administration says Mr Taylor should face trial at a special war crimes court in Sierra Leone. (BBC)
