James Ibori

I saw James Ibori Plead Guilty: Ibori was convicted, says witness
The move to remove the Delta State Governor, Chief James Ibori from office, gathered momentum yesterday with one Mr. Rasheed Shekoni claiming that he was physically present when a Bwari Upper Area Court convicted the governor in 1995. In a sworn affidavit made available to journalists in Abuja, Mr. Shekoni claimed that "the case was mentioned and James Onanefe Ibori pleaded guilty to the charge and he was summarily tried, convicted, and sentenced to N1,000 fine which he paid immediately. He said in a 21-paragraph affidavit that he had been an employee of SPIBAT Nigeria Limited as at 1995, as a supervisor when the company was constructing Usman Dam, near Bwari and "James Onanefe Ibori was working with the company as a sub-contractor."
