BNW Obasanjo, Fayose and Tinubu

Tinubu Vs Fayose: So Much for 'FG' Neutrality, Obasanjo chides Tinubu
President Olusegun Obasanjo last night blamed Governor Bola Tinubu of Lagos State for breaching protocol during his recent visit to Ekiti State during which he (Tinubu) and former Governors Olusegun Osoba of Ogun State and Adebayo Adeniyi were put under “house arrest.” President Obasanjo defended the Ekiti State governor, Mr Ayo Fayose who has been in the eye of the storm for allegedly ordering policemen and soldiers to get Gov. Tinubu and the former governors ‘detained’ overnight while in Iyin-Ekiti for the burial of the father of one of the Lagos State commissioners. The President’s words: “There is protocol in everything involving government. Protocol demands that I don’t go to any country without informing the President of that country or without being invited. Anytime I’m visiting Lagos, even when just transiting to my farm in Ota, I inform him (Tinubu) ahead and he arranges to meet me. That is the way it should be. The host has a duty to ensure the security of the visitor. If a state governor doesn’t know that another is coming, how can he make necessary arrangement?” (Vanguard)
