Panic in the Ruling Cabal: PDP warns Govs, others over Formenting Crises
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday warned its governors and other elected members against fomenting crises, saying that they were not elected to make trouble but to deliver good governance to the electorates. National chairman of the party, Chief Audu Ogbeh, gave the warning at the opening of the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held yesterday in Abuja, but was poorly attended. All governors of PDP controlled states, expected to be in attendance, were absent, except Governor Chris Ngige of Anambra State. However, their deputies represented some of them. President Obasanjo was out of the country while Vice President Atiku Abubakar was chaired the National Economic Council meeting. Senate President, Chief Adolphus Wabara and Speaker of the House, Aminu Bello Masari, were also absent. In his speech at the opening of the NEC meeting, Chief Audu... (Daily Trust)
