The "Conspirator" Fights Back: Nzeribe threatens Chukwumerije again
The last may not have been heard of the bribery allegation levelled against Senator Arthur Nzeribe by Senator Uche Chukwumerije as the former is set to defend himself on the floor of the Senate. Speaking with Daily Champion on telephone yesterday from his Oguta residence, Imo State, Senator Nzeribe said he was set to reopen the matter on the floor of the Senate for "Chukwumerije to prove his claim." "He (Chukwumerije) told the Senate that I gave bribe and I said I did not give bribe. The onus is still on him to prove his claim," Nzeribe stated. Stating that his defence in the house would take any form, the Oguta-born senator said: "it can be by way of motion of any form," adding that he would pursue the matter further on the floor of the Senate next week. Nzeribe who was not in the Chamber when Chukwumerije accused him... (Champion)

Fear as Nat'l Policy: BiafraNigeria...





Desmond TutuSouth Africa's former Arch-bishop, Desmond Tutu, has backed compensation claims filed by apartheid victims. Mr Tutu, who chaired South Africa's Truth and Reconcilia-tion Commission, made a legal submission in support of the New York lawsuit. "The obtaining of compensation for victims of apartheid... could promote reconciliation," he reportedly said. By backing the suit against a number of international... (This Day)
